Glock 48 Slide Release - I got mine yesterday. I'm left-handed, so sometimes I use my trigger finger instead of a right-handed shooter's thumb. It was a quick install and has a "bump" on the back for easy handling. This is my second double diamond product from the Glock Store. 110% satisfied. Their customer service is excellent over the phone if you have any questions.

I received this extended slide stop along with a G42/43 DD 3.5 connector. Installation was easy, Lenny's video has a nice trick in the locking block. Much more comfortable to use than locking. No more struggling with the slide stop, just one quick move.

This extended slide stop is among the aftermarket options available that most closely resemble the Glock factory version of the non-pocket models. Works as advertised and the price is reasonable. The only minor gripe I have is that the trigger pin hole seems too large, to the point where the material around the hole is very thin compared to the original G43 slide stop. Compared to the original, it looks like they just didn't design it to provide enough metal around that hole.

It looks and feels as close to factory as I've seen with any aftermarket part. I noticed the hole was cut very close to the bottom so I wouldn't be too surprised if/when it snaps.

I bought this as an upgrade to a custom setup. Works well as advertised, my only problem is the color. I bought silver to match the other silver elements on the gun. The slide, trigger, extended slide trigger, and extended slide lock were bright silver in color. This silver is more of a dull pewter that doesn't even come close to the others.

The extended slide was easy to install and works well with Glock OEM magazines. However, the metal lip that interacts with the slide is not the same shape or size as the OEM slide stop. It is significantly smaller and therefore does not work properly when locking the slide back in sequence with some stock magazines, notably the Shield Arms S15 magazine. Since using the 15 round magazine is more important to me than the extended slide stop, I put the original slide back on my gun. If Double Diamond releases a slide stop with a trailing edge closer to the shape and contour of the OEM slide stop, I will check this product out.

I bought this first but covid took a while to get it so I went and bought an Ext slide release from Tyrant, I wasn't happy with the slide not loading ammo into the battery without me having to pull it. slide by hand finally got the double diamond insert and it works like a charm as well as the oem part and looks great too great workmanship well worth the wait

I really like this extended slide stop. I have always had trouble releasing the slide or locking the slide back. Its bump makes it easier to use without getting in the way. Looks good too lol

Works much better than the stock 43X, but not as comfortable as the extended slide on the Glock 19. The protrusion is very small and can hurt your thumb during exercises. A larger lug area would be useful, as in the extended release model of the Glock 19.

The lip attached to the empty magazine holder is about a millimeter higher than the OEM slide.

This causes the slide to partially engage the follower, causing the slide release to only partially open and creating a very inconsistent slide lock on an empty magazine.

More than 50% of the time the slide will simply bypass the slide release with an empty magazine.

This problem is only exacerbated by removing material from the thumb portion of the release plate each time the slide pops off.

I'm not sure what the technical reason for raising that lip is, but it would be nice if they kept the same depth as the OEM slide release.

As soon as I put on the Double Diamond slide stop, I was immediately impressed with this product. I have large hands and have always had a bit of trouble releasing slides from my Glock. But this product made it 100% easier. I would definitely recommend any Glock owner to invest in one.
